Recruitment

We are so glad you are interested in joining a sorority! Joining Alpha Gamma Delta is a life-changing experience, and there are many ways to get to know us! 

 

Alpha Gamma Delta will conduct a formal recruitment process in September 2025. Please note that a 3.0 GPA is recommended to join Alpha Gam.

Informational Events

Informational events are optional, no-cost opportunities for you to learn more about sorority life! We invite female students who are interested in membership to join as they’re able to. Interested, but none of these work with your schedule? Contact us at shenandoah@alphagammadelta.org to set up a lunch date!

 

An RSVP form for all events will be available on September 1, 2025. Stay tuned!

 

  • Open House | September 8, 2025, 3:00-5:00 pm

    • Brandt Student Center - BSAC 123

    • This event is come-and-go, and attendees will be able to meet with the Alpha Gam team, view a presentation about membership and the recruitment process, and visit with other interested potential new members. Refreshments will be served.

  • Service Event | September 10, 2025, 5:00-7:00 pm

    • Brandt Student Center - BSAC 123

    • This is a meal packing event benefiting Buzzy's Food Pantry! Learn more about Alpha Gamma Delta's international focus of Fighting Food Insecurity and pack a meal bag for Buzzy's Food Pantry, an essential campus program that provides free meals for students, faculty and staff in need. Refreshments will be served.

  • Sisterhood Event | September 11, 5:00-7:00 pm

    • HIVE Collaboratory

    • This event will be centered in sisterhood, and highlights the rich friendships and connections that are gained from sorority life! We will make the viral lip gloss key chains, view a brief presentation and visit with other potential new members.

 

Required Events

  • Coffee Dates | September 16 & 17, 4:00-9:00 pm

    • HSCL Rotunda

    • Ready to take the next step and explore membership in Alpha Gam? We invite you to join us for coffee! Potential new members will sign up for one 45-minute time slot. At the event, you will meet 1:1 with a staff member or volunteer to learn more about our organization and what sets us apart from other student groups. Participation is required to be considered for membership. If you have a schedule conflict, please contact us directly at shenandoah@alphagammadelta.org to schedule a makeup!

  • Preference Night | September 19, 7:30-9:00 pm

    • HSLC Rotunda

    • After we have met with all the potential new members, we will send invitations for Preference Night. Preference Night is a sentimental opportunity to learn more about our international sisterhood and visit with fellow potential new members. This event is by invitation only.

  • Bid Day | September 20, 12:00-3:00 pm

    • HIVE Collaboratory

    • After the conclusion of Preference, we will send bids, or invitations for membership. Bid Day is the ultimate celebration of our new member class! Join us for food, photo ops, music and connection opportunities.
